SPHERE is an experimental dance/installation work in which 4 dancers carry, throw, roll, and balance a giant white sphere.
As the performance progresses, the performers find new ways of relating to the sphere, and as a result, new relationships between the dancers emerge.
The work deals with topics such as community, collaboration, fragility and the act of striving. The sphere serves as a concrete tool for exploring utilitarian movement, where movements arise from both necessity and a need for connection, as well as a potent metaphor that reminds us of the importance of collaboration and the notion that we all belong to a greater whole.
