Karnivor explores diet culture, consumption, and social media. We follow influencers Karolina and Karmen,
who just started documenting their journey with the new Carnivore diet, a restrictive diet that
consists solely of animal products. For Karolina and Karmen, as well as their viewers, it's no longer “trendy” to have high morals and an ethical compass, and they're returning to a more selfish worldview.
We’re thrust into a distorted reality where food and consumption take on an almost obsessive
nature. External and internal desires collide, driving the two friends beyond their limits and testing their friendship along the way.
The play explores not only the physical and psychological consequences of extreme diets
and social media but also how we as humans can easily lose ourselves in the pursuit of
validation and belonging, sometimes at the expense of our own self-worth. Followers
consume the lives of influencers without understanding what it means, and influencers must
keep feeding their endless desire, a never-ending cycle of consumption. Like a cow that
must continuously produce milk, influencers are compelled to give more and more, leaving
only a bloodsucking, meat-eating remnant of humanity—a living warning of what happens
when we surrender ourselves to consumption.
“My head thinks about meat, my hands think about meat, my teeth think about meat. I can
chew through anything, cartilage, tendons, and bones. Nothing can stop me. And with my
discount code KARRO15 at eatmeat.se, you can be just as unstoppable as me.”
