An Unfamiliar World explores an encounter between the human body and a divine feminine being rooted in African cosmologies. The performance emerges from an Afro-diasporic spiritual knowledge system, exploring what happens when a body enters a space between worlds. The audience is invited to enter a realm where the human and the divine encounter one another through movement, imagination and transformation.

Mountain Meditations is a solo excerpt of a larger collective work that proposes the radical return to the present conditions as potential and as responsible practice. Engaging with its layers, tensions and dimensions, the work acts as an anti-utopian doing that practices being together through weight, presence and collective imagination. An invitation to remember matter, mass and weight as verbs and doing: as bodies, as tensions, as matters. A meditation on collective presence and imagination on present conditions and their potential. On what constitutes us bodies, as matter, together, right now.
