"Dentifricio" means toothpaste in Italian.

Toothpaste is a theatrical performance that explores, with irony and depth, the boundary between what ends and what manages to persist—even if only for a moment longer. The title stems from a double, evocative image: toothpaste that, even when it seems finished, can still be squeezed out, and the impossibility of putting it back into the tube once it’s been used. Two simple gestures that open up a reflection on two universal concepts: limit and end.

The show unfolds as a mosaic of languages and registers. Through TV zapping, diary fragments, intrusive advertisements, film clips, and live physical challenges, the pace is fast and engaging—mirroring the social media-driven frenzy of our world. But beneath the apparent chaos lies a poetic and provocative inquiry into what remains when everything seems lost, when we hit a boundary, when something truly comes to an end.

Through a collage of diary-like storytelling, advertising intrusions, cinematic fragments, physical and athletic challenges, the performance becomes a mosaic reflecting on the impossibility of going back, and on how disintegration unfolds physically, emotionally, and socially. In a compulsive zapping between documentary elements and television memories, the ideas of limit and end resurface, leading us to confront a fundamental question:
“What remains when everything is over?”
