How can generative AI support designers and creators working with storytelling in the performing arts?
This workshop explores how AI tools can be woven into artistic processes as a way to discover new workflows, develop ideas, and expand storytelling.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced session. Participants will be introduced to several AI tools for working with image and text, then dive into short, practical exercises—both individually and in groups.
The goal is not to produce polished results, but to challenge familiar routines and open up new perspectives. What happens when algorithms push our intuition? Can unfamiliar tools unlock something unexpected in what we already do?
We’ll test, talk, and experiment together in a dynamic and open setting. The group process is key—insights often emerge in the exchange between different artistic practices.
The workshop is aimed at performing arts professionals who want to understand the possibilities of generative tools in scenography, concept development and visual storytelling. No prior experience with AI is needed, but basic computer skills are required.
You’ll leave with practical tools, fresh inspiration, and maybe a few new ideas to explore in your own work.
Welcome to a workshop where AI is not a replacement—but a creative collaborator.
The participants need to bring a laptop.
