The Chair Piece explores the compositional possibilities between body, voice, and space. In a bizarre world where two bodies interact with disorienting rules, anything can happen. Absurdity is chasing them as the minimal aesthetic of the piece leads them from one image to the next, seamlessly moving from the mundane to the absurd and grotesque. They live through it every day, uncovering layers of relating to one another; who is to blame for that is not yet clear, but that’s all they know. In an empty space, they move between recognisable images that are abstracted, deconstructed, and transformed, and they will commit to that place as much as to each other.
