Swimming season
Swimming naked together is a luxury!

Our bodies are shaped by prejudices and societal structures filled with hierarchies and norms regarding the body's appearance. Therefore, through sauna and bathing, I want to remove the initially sensational aspect of nudity and instead focus on the poetic and utopian elements of seeing people interact without valuing gender, age, body size, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, or other power hierarchies. In the embracing warmth of the sauna, individuals find comfort and connection, creating an environment beyond societal barriers that fosters a sense of belonging within a diverse community. Imagine if we could view collective bathing as a method to enable the normalization of bodies in our society.

During the afternoon, we will create a space for collective bathing and explore how to normalize the body in the public space. Based on the concept of collective care, we will create an environment where nudity and nature merge, where bodies can potentially free themselves from conventions and norms for a moment.

Quinteros Soto has explored collective experiences in his artistry. Through seemingly simple actions like communal bathing, he has activated the observer's reflections on their relationship to their own and others' bodies. He has also made artworks characterized by increased openness to interventions, performances, and workshops that go beyond the physical object and instead focus on a more social practice. Through these artworks, he has explored how this intimate encounter can be maintained, documented, and facilitated in public space.
