Sculpting Presence is a Butoh inspired workshop exploring the body as a site of transformation, imagination and attention. Through guided movement, stillness, slow transitions, poetic imagery and sensory awareness, participants are invited to enter a more receptive relationship with their bodies and the space around them.
The workshop introduces key elements from Katerina Drakopoulou’s psychophysical practice, including slowness, micro movement, sculptural forms, inner landscapes and the shifting states between presence, disappearance and becoming. Participants can expect a gentle but focused exploration of the body as material, image and living landscape.
Open to performers, dancers, actors, artists and anyone curious about embodied practice, the workshop does not require previous Butoh experience. It offers a space to slow down, listen deeply and discover how movement can emerge from sensation, imagination and transformation.
