A danced monologue, a song to Mother Earth, a comedy. A
dance-theatre solo with a human body and a plant head. A
karaoke session with hits from the 80s and 90s mixed with
traditional Basque songs.
“Why have you forgotten about me? I used to
have offerings all the time, and now... This is all I
have: Trash!”
The Green Man’s face was once carved in trees,
churches, and buildings around the world. He
was celebrated, honoured, prayed for. Now he’s
just the name of a London pub...
A heartbroken Green Man, a forgotten diva, who
wakes up after 200 years and gets the chance to
present his monologue that he
has been practising all this time. A song to
nature, a dance to our forgotten relationship with
Mother Earth.
